Her subjects are sometimes portrayed wearing patterned materials, massive earrings, and elaborately plaited hairstyles, situated in front of photographed landscapes or home interiors that incorporate African masks and decor and tropical vegetation. In his intricate oil paintings, Nathan Walsh captures the textural sheen of rain on metropolis streets and luminescent reflections in cafe windows.
